She smiled. "Well I hope you don't mind living with us for the forseeable future." She reached forward and touched Bucky's wrist. Their fingers were twined together though Bucky's grip was loose. "I'm glad he likes you. He's always been so picky about his guard, and I couldn't just let him go places alone, not with all the hate I get for being a single mother. A single mother with a gay son would have a hard enough time even if she wasn't the president."
President Barnes sighed. "I don't want him bothered. Even after he starts going out and doing things, when he's recovered... I can't ask you to stay on as his permanent bodyguard, you have other things to occupy your time with. But if you would stay until he's... out and about, I would appreciate it." She smiled.
