He was exhausted and scared of the memories that were bubbling up, of rough hands on his hips and a harsh laugh in his ear. His entire body was aching and he was glad it was just he and Steve. He could trust Captain America to keep him safe, to not do anything to him. To not lose him in a crowd.
The people outside may have been trusted by his mother, but they were the same kind of people that had let him be taken, had let him go through eight months of torture and hell.
