"I don't think you should have to lie to yourself," he said slowly. "I don't think you should have to lie to anyone else, either. I... don't have a lot of experience with moms," he said, smiling sadly. "But the experience I do have says they want to see you succeed but they have a hard time letting you go, all at the same time. You've just got it doubly bad, because your mom's the president. She's trying to do what's right, it's just... a lot more public when she fails."
