Bucky paused when Steve spoke. He looked down at his lap, at the bag of tennis balls in his hand. "I guess..." He looked up for a moment then back down. "I guess you haven't let me down, yet."
He shrugged then stood, going to his desk. He came up with a pair of scissors and sat down again, pausing to scratch Penny behind the ears before starting to cut open the bag. He offered a tennis ball to her which she refused, and he moved on to the next thing in the bag, determined to get everything set up for Penny.
