Bucky grinned and stepped into the lobby of the shelter. The place was almost deserted, with only a couple of people behind the desk. The door at the other side of the room was closed, but the barking behind it obviously led to the kennels.
Bucky headed through that door and was instantly diving down one of the rows of cages. He'd been on the shelter's website looking at the dogs already and had a couple in mind.
He most mostly after a puppy, so he wouldn't have to worry about any bad habits, but wasn't opposed to an older dog.
He headed down the row, pausing every few kennels to speak to one of the dogs or read their little biography on the door of the kennel. "See anybody you like, Steve?"
