"Safe," he mumbled into the ground. "They'll come for me." And he was desperately hopeful for that. For the pain to ease, for them to put his shoulder back into place. He hated cryo, but it was better than this all-over pain. He wasn't sure how long it'd been, but it had been long enough. A day, or maybe two, but it was long enough that whatever they put in him to keep his heart from hurting was wearing off.

He shuddered again, struggling for breath, but still made no attempt to even start to move.
