"It's going to be fine," she assured him. "I know you don't want to see him but right now we need him, okay? We'll get safe, then get out and find somewhere new to lay low. But for now, we need to go with Steve."

She felt guilty putting him through this if he didn't want to be, but there wasn't much leeway in options and she sure as hell was not going fuck around with chances at this point.
