His stomach turns at the sound of Bucky's voice and he wants to pull the door open, to show him that it's okay. "Open the door. It's okay. I promise you, it's going to be okay."
Maybe he shouldn't make that promise but he doesn't give a damn right now. He wasn't to say what will make this even a fraction better than what it is now.
